I thought I would take a pause and give an update on the boys.
Noam is now 17 months old. He repeats practically everything we say these days - and loves to talk. I still have trouble understanding a lot of what he tries to say - but I can distinguish words here and there. He has a funny list of words that he is proud of himself for knowing these days. A few of the favorites: 'Yellow, Bicycle, Dinosaur, Amanda, Doggie, Shoe, Sock, Cookie (his favorite)'. Noam calls himself 'Nona' and is such a sunny and friendly little boy. He still has huge eyes and now he knows how to use them well - he has a dog eye face, and a squinty face which he loves too. He is a pleasure to put to sleep thse days - happily dropping off without a battle. He bounces around from toy to toy in the playroom - and just adores playing with his brother Ari. He copies most things that Ari does, but he also seems to have a mind of his own and can be quite vocal about it.
Ari is 3 and a half. He is just a pleasure to be with - makes a lot of conversation and takes an interest in other people. The other day I was in the shower and he came in to chat with me. He started off by saying, 'So, by the way mommy, how is your shower today?' He always asks questions and asks people how they are feeling, etc. Nightime routine is the longest for Ari these days. He plays games with Lavi, milk and cookies, potty stickers, brushes teeth, 'Chibuk Gadol', 'Neshika al ha lechi', books with mommy and of course 'Scratching and Lapping and Rubbing'. It seems to never end these days - but it usually follows the same pattern. Ari is drawing elaborate drawings and had a Volcano one posted on the wall at Gan. He is learning words and in the early stages of reading, thanks to his babysitter.

Where did Ari get that dope adidas jacket? Are there matching pants? He should wear that bad boy every day. JW
