Today we had a full day starting at 5:30 am which seems to be Noam's latest wake-up call. But because it was Mother's Day - I got to sleep in (starting at about 7am). Lavi, Ari and Noam presented me with a beautiful card on a beautiful day - and then we all headed down to my mom's house for a Mother's Day celebration and Noam's birthday celebration. My mom made a wonderful, elegant feast for us (thanks mom!). Dave, Natalie, Gidi and Suellyn joined - and we all had a wonderful lunch to celebrate motherhood. Then for dessert - we celebrated for Noam. I baked Noam a cute duck cake for year 1. 'Duck' is one of his first words - so it seemed appropriate. We opened some gifts and ate some more and just enjoyed the weather. Motherhood can be tough sometimes - but days like this show how much it is worth it (and every other day in between)!
