Noam turns one today. Amazing! This year has gone by FAST! And he has changed so much. Year one is truly a miracle. Noam happily listened as we each sang him Happy Birthday this morning. He enjoys singing - so I think that made him smile. Since Ari just had his birthday - he is all over it for Noam - and realizes that today is Noam's special day.
The most recent events for Noam are that he stands on his own for long periods of time and is really steady. He isn't walking just yet - but he is solid and doesn't really seem timid. when holding hands he takes big steps and feels more comfortable with them than last week - so I think walking on his own will come rather soon. His hair is getting long and it floats in his eyes. He needs a haircut, or a nice trim cuz I just feel like his hair might bother him a little.
Noam is also saying a couple of words these days. He says 'duck' when he sees (and chews on) his fuzzy yellow ducky. He also answers 'Moo' when you ask him 'What does a Cow say...'. He clearly says Mama and Abba but he hasn't yet tried to say Ari. I am waiting to hear what that will sound like. I picked up a little kitchen from a local tag sale and it is Noam's favorite area. He likes to open and close the oven and microwave doors. He also loves a little bit of fun with Ari. Sometimes when Ari gets wild, Noam will happily join in on the fun. He enjoys bouncing up and down on Ari's bed, and he really loves dancing to music (that is the cutest). His favorite new TV show is Sesame Street. As far as eating, that has become a lot less stressful lately cuz he has developed a nice healthy appetite and we no longer battle over food.
Overall - Noam is right on track to being a super swell little one-year old and I am getting sad that our baby days are soon to be over :(....but not yet :)
