Happy Thanksgiving 2007

So - we hope everyone had a nice break and enjoyed Thanksgiving. We ended up staying home for the holiday weekend - and we joined my parents for an unusual Thanksgiving celebration at a restaurant this year. It was very nice. We dined at x2o Xvaiers restaurant in Yonkers which has a budding reputation. It was quite fancy - the first thing we were given was an 'amuse bouche'. I felt like I was on an episode of Top Chef. Overall - the dinner was very nice - great views - and a different experience. Ari had fun - although it isn't so easy to keep a 19 month old occupied in a fancy restaurant. Most of the time - a member of the table was sent off to walk him around and occupy his attention. He was a good boy though - and he quite enjoyed the food. The rest of the weekend was spent at home relaxing - and it was just so nice to be able to finally chill out. We had Lavi's graduate school friends over for dinner Saturday night - that was a lot of fun. And then we had brunch on Sunday with some of our Stamford local buddies and babies. That was really nice too. It was a lot of food and cooking - but that makes for a lot of good leftovers - which we didn't have from Thanksgiving eve.
