So we headed down to Florida for a must-take vacation to get away from this awful winter weather. Florida was really great. We stayed in a timeshare at the Wyndham Palm-Aire in Pompano Beach. The area was pretty central and it was easy to get around. The hotel had 5 buildings - we got placed in the smallest one - which ended up being a blessing since it had it's own private tucked away pool. The pool was heated and the kids just had a blast swimming in there every day. We got into a routine - swimming until about 2pm - getting lunch delivered poolside. At about 2:30 we would head back to our room - get changed and ready and go to the beach of the day. We hit Hollywood Beach, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale Beach and the Beach at key Biscayne (that one was a day trip - and it was fantastic!). The weather was just outstanding during our trip. We relaxed - and ate well - and enjoyed the trip a lot. The kids are wondering when we get to go back to our 'vacation house' and our 'vacation car'.
