Happy Holidays!

We celebrated Chanukah last night - and Ari was a full participant. He saw a big bag on the table and said 'WOW - that must be a REALLY BIG DREIDEL'. Lavi and I chuckled. It actually was a really big puzzle. I bought 3 of them for his this Chanukah. it seems to be the thing that he spends his most time on these days. His babysitter bought him a big puzzle too - so he is developing quite a collection.

Lavi and I are trying hard to keep our kids healthy before our trip to Israel (we leave on Wednesday for Orly's wedding), but it isn't working. I schlepped Noam to the doc today for a nasty cough. I got some advice but no meds. While we were there - Noam was weighed. He is now 17lb, 8oz. Getting to be a big boy. Noam is crawling really fast these days - and he is also pulling himself up to stand at every moment. He takes a few steps too (while holding on) - so that he can straighten himself. It's just the beginning of cruising. I think that will be just around the corner. Lavi thinks he has heard Noam say 'ABBA' here and there. I keep trying to hear it myself. And our babysitter is trying to teach him how to wave. That may take some time. But he is a charmer. Always smiling. No teeth yet - I keep getting fooled into thinking they are there - but then they seem to disappear.

Ari is really looking forward to getting on an airplane. I hope he (and Noam too) lasts the flight well. It's a long one this time. But we are looking forward to our Israel trip and just relaxing. It will be nice to be in a few degrees warmer than we are now. The first snowstorm was fun - but after that I don't find them as exciting.
