This past week both Lavi and Ari had Spring Break - and they had a fantastic time! The weather was a beautiful start to the spring season - even a little hotter than expected. For 3 days in a row - Lavi took Ari in to Central Park and hung out all day each day. I joined them one day, Suellyn made is all 3 days and Nili made it one day. It was a lot of fun for both Lavi and Ari - the scenery was just beautiful with all the new blossoms. Ari explored different playgrounds within the park, and did a lot of rock climbing and truck pushing. He even sat with his father on 5th Ave and watched some really exciting buses, firetrucks, police cars and taxi cabs go by - all while enjoying some yummy ice cream. The days proved exhausting but a blast!
The last few days of the week were the start of Passover. We joined my parents at their ritual Seder - which was great. Nili, Orly, Gidon and Suellyn joined as guests - and it was really nice for us to have both sides of the family participate together. Ari was quite overtired by mid-seder - but he always loves being around family and cousins and I think it was exciting for him.
Another exciting this for Ari this week has been his transition to a toddler bed. Last evening we secretly removed his crib and replaced it with a big boy toddler bed, adorned with new firetruck blanket and sheets. Lavi and I made a pretty big deal over the new bed - and it seemed to go over quite well. He happily slept in it last night - and took himself out this morning to play on the floor in his room. I am hoping tonight is just as smooth - and memories of the crib are long gone by the time the new baby arrives. Not long to go now...
Hope everyone has/had a nice spring break as well and a Chag Sameach!
