Welcome Leo...

So Kate and Nick gave birth to a baby boy - named him Leo Robert. We visited them last weekend in Hoboken and met little Leo for the first time. What a blondie! Kate and Nick are doing really great. It made Lavi and I wonder what we are getting ourselves into for the 2nd time. It's easy to forget - as the babies grow and change so quickly. Not too much longer for us to find out though. Ari had a great day in the city with his Safta Sue. Suellyn took him to the Children's Museum in Manhattan and they had a blast. He could have stayed there for hours longer - they had so much fun.

Ari is just a little ball of fire lately. He is into everything and very curious - and loves to take over and be independent. He talks so much - and I am even able to talk to him on the phone now and actually be able to decipher about half of the conversation. We normally chat on the phone when I am in the car heading home from work. He loves saying 'Hi Mommy' and he gives me the news of the day. News often includes what he is playing with or what he is eating / drinking. He really is getting to be a big boy and seems to know everything going on around him. We often sing songs together. My favorite thing to do lately is sing to him and watch him mouth all the words. I was whistling the other night and having him guess which song it was. He was pretty good at that game - which really gave me a kick. He even tried to copy my whistling - but clearly that didn't work too well :) Ari is also catching on to the idea lately that he is going to be a big brother. He often tells me out of the blue that 'Ari is going to be a big brother' but normally follows up with 'Mommy is going to be a big brother' and 'Abba is going to be a big brother'. Soon enough - I guess he will realize what it really means. Until then - he can enjoy his last few months of being an only child.
